An open day for individuals with special needs

As part of its corporate social responsibility program, through which the company aims to be a key player in community development, ADGAS collaborated with the Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care & Special Needs in organizing a fun-filled open day for individuals with special needs.

Held on May 13, 2015 at ADGAS main headquarters, the open day was designed to raise awareness about people with special needs and to highlight their significant contribution and role to the community.

Themed “Your Creations Exceeded your Abilities”, around 25 talented individuals with special needs showcased their talents and skills with some performing traditional dance, poetry, playing the piano, and displaying their crafts and fresh produce.

Thrilled by the different array of handmade crafts and the variety of fresh fruits and vegetables on display, employees trooped to the open bazaar and bought several items to the delight of the individuals with special needs.

Such initiative was appreciated by the employees as they consider this as an opportunity to contribute in giving back to the society.

Social responsibility has always been a pillar of ADGAS’s activities. It is part of ADGAS culture.

Supporting and extending the role of the company’s from operational and industrial to humanitarian by providing assistance and opportunities  to students with disabilities to integrate in the society is indeed an invaluable cause.
