Learning and Development

ADGAS employees enjoy an extensive training and capacity-building strategy that starts from the employee’s first days in the company until retirement. We conduct a range of training courses (Technical, softskill, and Management/Leadership) in-house, external and abroad, based on training requirements and development plans.

Talent Attraction and Investment

Our talent attraction strategy helps us to ensure that we attract people with the right skills and expertise and talent that will help us meet the changing business needs. In 2015 we visited ATI and gave awareness presentation to make the potential candidates aware of ADGAS business and the various development programs we are following. Also we selected potential candidates from Tawteen for Operator and Technician positions.  They were given special training in coordination with ATI.

This has helped us to attract talented young UAE nationals and allowed us to develop their capability and forge new relationships with ATI and ADNOC.

Developing our people

As part of our people strategy and to build ADGAS as a business organization for the future, we are working to provide a great learning experience for all our employees. Research shows that 70% of learning comes from on-the-job experience and we have structured a range of development options, including Leadership and Management Development Programs (for first line, Middle and Senior Management levels) which covers Leaders of Tomorrow program accredited by Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), Ashridge Programs for Middle Management, Specialised Workshops for Senior Management with action plan and post course follow-up, Competence based Development programs (CAMC/CAS) for development and integration of entry level staff, with Coaching and on the Job-training support. The range of options available also reflects the goals of our business, helping our people to remain outcome focused. 

In 2015, as part of our 5 year business planning process, we reviewed our key strategic organizational requirements and identified key development and resourcing strategies that we will be pursuing in support of our 2017 emiratisation Target (75%). This will help to ensure that we have the right people who can perform the HSE & business critical tasks effectively to the level required through the development of our employees.

As a more formal learning, employees can also benefit from Training attachment with Project activities, Shareholders offices, Leadership Workshops, Emotional Intelligence training or development opportunities by helping those in needs by taking part in team challenges for charities or wider community development initiatives.
